International Council for Clean Transportation
In 2001 18 leading regulators and experts from China, Europe, Japan, and the U.S. met to develop a shared vision of future motor vehicle policy. The group agreed on a set of principles to guide regulators toward best practices for controlling emissions of greenhouse gases, conventional air pollutants, and toxics, and promoting advanced technologies.

Sponsored by the Hewlett and Energy Foundations, the ICCT gathers on a regular basis to formulate policy goals and principles, issue joint statements, and identify research necessary to accelerate progress towards cleaner vehicles.
