We are pleased to announce that Nicole Systrom has joined the Energy Foundation Board of Directors. Nicole’s credentials and insights in clean energy finance and entrepreneurship make her a valuable addition to our board.
After accepting the board position, Nicole said, “As an admirer of the foundation’s work for over a decade, I’m excited to help the organization build on its policy expertise to strengthen its support of clean energy innovation and finance.”
As a clean-energy sector professional, Nicole facilitates investments for climate impact and grows support for early stage clean technology innovators, which she accomplishes in her roles as Director of Philanthropic Partnerships at PRIME Coalition, VP for Development and Strategic Projects with Cyclotron Road and Activation Energy, and founder of Sutro Energy Group. She develops programs to increase the capacity of foundations, family offices, and seed investors to support ventures that mitigate climate change and contribute to a more sustainable energy system, with both charitable and for-profit investment dollars. She has published work on facets of clean energy ranging from gaps in the hard technology innovation ecosystem to state energy policy.
Nicole earned an MBA/M.S. in Environment and Resources from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and a B.S. in Earth Systems, also from Stanford University.
We are fortunate to have her on our board of directors.
