Susan Tierney is a senior advisor at the Analysis Group, an economic and policy consulting firm, where she focuses on electric industry and other energy issues. Sue served as the assistant secretary for policy at the U.S. Department of Energy during the Clinton administration. She was previously Secretary of Environmental Affairs, Commissioner for the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities and Chair of the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority’s Board of Directors. Early in her career she was an assistant professor at the University of California, Irvine. She is affiliated with other foundations and non-governmental organizations with an emphasis on clean energy and climate policy.
