As Vice President (VP), People and Culture, Jonathan serves as a functional and strategic thought leader, and directs all aspects of the Foundation’s work to support and align the people and culture to serve the overall organizational mission, vision, and values. He provides vision and leadership of EF’s employee-facing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts, and play a critical and strategic role as a human resources advisor to senior leadership and management. Jonathan is responsible for setting and evaluating equitable, legally compliant human resources policies, procedures, and best practices, and identifying and implementing long-range strategic talent management goals.
Prior to joining U.S. Energy Foundation staff, Jonathan led people and culture efforts as Director, Human Resources of Boston-based digital agency Cantina. He previously moved through progressively more challenging HR roles in healthcare, public media, and financial services, and at organizations such as BMC HealthNet Plan, WGBH, and TransUnion.
