As the Program Director, Clean Grid, Eugenia oversees EF’s clean power and wholesale markets strategy, managing the development and execution of a strategy to advance clean power across the U.S. In her role, Eugenia partners with EF staff, consultants, and funding partners to develop a shared strategy and manage a portfolio of grants and coordinate with other EF staff investing in clean power work.
Prior to EF, Eugenia served as the Massachusetts Director of Climate Policy for Health Care Without Harm where she worked with hospitals to reduce their environmental footprint and with the sector to become an anchor for sustainability and resilience and a leader in the movement for environmental health and justice. In that capacity, Eugenia cultivated funder relationships and engaged in policy advocacy related to climate-smart health care and state decarbonization strategy. With an eye toward equity and climate justice, Eugenia has always worked to hold people at the center of strategy development, policy design, and program implementation. Previously, she worked as Policy Director with Green Energy Consumers Alliance, developing strategic communications to educate policymakers and the public about energy efficiency and renewable energy.
