As Senior Program Associate, Clean Transportation, Michelle supports the work of the Program Director, Clean Transportation, by arranging meetings with grantees, consultants, and funders; tracking and co-managing the program budget; reviewing grant proposals; drafting reports; and communicating with grantees and funders on a variety of issues. In addition to collaborating and coordinating with other teams and programs, Michelle organizes convenings with U.S. Energy Foundation partners and grantees, and contributes to institutional efforts.
Prior to U.S. Energy Foundation, Michelle worked as the Environmental, Health, and Safety and Facilities Supervisor for L3Harris Technologies in San Leandro, CA. In this role, she drove the development, organization, administration, enforcement, and continual improvement of all environmental, health, and safety programs; established policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations; supervised the facilities team; managed the annual budget; and gathered information for sustainability reporting.
