Mohammad drives and ensures the quality of the accounting and finance operations at EF, working closely with the Senior Director of Finance to execute the strategic direction for financial management, accounting, and budgeting through joint coordination and oversight of a team of accounting colleagues. He continuously assesses the structure and delivery of the accounting functions and implements adjustments to ensure effectiveness, and promotes and models equity and accountability within the area of finance while helping to ensure the organization’s financial strength.

Prior to joining EF, Mohammad was a Financial Manager with the Syrian American Medical Society, where he supervised and monitored the financial operational projects of the organization on the field level in multiple countries, performed and controlled the full audit cycle, supervised monthly and year-end closing processes and reconciliation, and managed periodic and annual budgeting and forecasting. Mohammad has also previously worked in financial management with Sanad Construction Resources, with the International Institution for Nonviolent Action, and various other global organizations.
