Sarah Elbakri supports the EF Northeast team to plan and manage projects and budgets, make and administer grants, engage with funding partners, and work with advocates and other partners to execute strategies and projects. She also assists with the administration of grants and contracts, provides administrative support to the team, and helps to develop and implement systems and processes to facilitate internal and external collaboration.

Prior to EF, Sarah led community resilience initiatives at UPROSE, an environmental justice organization, where she developed programs and projects that elevated frontline climate justice concerns within policy frameworks. Before that, at Earthjustice, Sarah served as a Senior Litigation Assistant, where she supported the Washington, D.C., Program team, and actively contributed to the organization’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts.
